U.S. Dictionary's Words of the Year Reuters,

A four-letter term that came to symbolize the difference between
old and new media during this year's presidential campaign
tops U.S. dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster's list of the
10 words of the year. Merriam-Webster Inc. said on Tuesday
that blog, defined as "a Web site that contains an online
personal journal with reflections, comments and often hyperlinks,"
was one of the most looked-up words on its Internet sites

Singingfish Relaunches

America Online will debut an improved audio/video search engine
at Singingfish.com
Wednesday, part of its strategy of building ad-supported standalone
search destinations to attract non-AOL members. It's the first
upgrade to Singingfish.com since AOL acquired the multimedia
search player in late 2003. Other pieces of the AOL strategy
include a recent investment in and partnership with travel
search player Kayak, along with the launch of its own shopping
search engine InStore. Other areas the company plans to explore
include real estate and automotive, according to AOL's Brian
