Microsoft's own search engine has permanently replaced the Yahoo search technology that has been used on Microsoft's MSN Web site. But Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Yahoo's technology will be still be used for the "sponsored" listings that companies pay for, and that appear separately alongside the main search results. more ...

Online Ad Spend To Grow By 30 Percent This Year By Andy Beal
This is great news for all of us in online marketing... "Marketers will increase online ad spending by as much as 30 percent in 2005 ... according to a recent survey of media planners and buyers conducted by Deutsche Bank in conjunction with MediaPost. Looks like marketers will spend more in Q1 than they did in Q4. "Nearly one out of three respondents--27 percent--expected their clients would spend between 11 percent and 30 percent more in the first quarter of this year than the last quarter of 2004.
