Ok it's been a while between drinks but I am going to try and keep this newsletter fortnightly if life ever settles down ... I have been busy with travel, seminars, volume of work and moving into our awesome new second office at Noosa.

The world of search goes marching on; Google Earth is out and both myself and my kids have been travelling the world amazing! The real target of course here is the local advertising market, MSN has added to its special search syntax and has released an updated desktop search toolbar I can't live without, Google is coming out with online payment system and finally releases a firefox toolbar, MSN new ranker tagged ?neural net? has been having effects on rankings since late May



Google 3-D Search Brings Earth to Desktop Google has officially launched its free, three-dimensional satellite mapping technology - Google Earth - which the San Francisco Chronicle termed "part flight simulator, part video game and part world atlas." It allows users to find businesses, get directions, and share the information with others. Google is using Google Earth and Google Maps to go after local advertising, a market that in the U.S. could reach $3.4 billion by 2009 according to the Kelsey Group, writes Bloomberg News.
