QUESTION: What is a doorway page?

In SEO terms a Doorway page is a page which has been built especially for search engines, not for users, to get rankings and will often automatically redirect a user to another page. I could go on to talk about cloaking via agent name or ip delivery but that is a black hat white hat discussion.
